An effective presentation can be informative and mind opening but it can also be funny and intriguing. Every speaker I've seen who tries a joke that they have planned out and use it for every single presentation and even they have gotten so tired of the joke they force themselves to laugh at it instead of having a natural reaction. For me a motivational speaker needs to be dynamic and re-invent themselves after every few presentations. They can still portray the same emotions and provoke the same thoughts but to stay relevant and stay effective, they have to tweak some elements of their presentation. To engineer a presentation that provides a message that hits everyone is virtually impossible so trying to please the masses of the listening group is vital. Another part is to judge your audience, if they seem interested or moved by the words then keep going but stick to a max time limit, if somebody has an eyeopening presentation, the show should go on. There are amazing things that get cut short by time but if you have a presentation that doesn't hold the attention of the masses, cut it short once you hit your point. I'm not saying just mic drop and walk out but like have a shortcut to the end so you can end the presentation quick. Stay on topic, and don't linger on one part of your story or proposal for too long. The amazing thing about humans is if they are getting paid enough; they care but don't push their attention spans to the limit, keep moving through the presentation. Talk to the audience, not an individual move your attention to the crowd don't single one person out. It really just makes it awkward for both of you and the longer that you do it the harder it is to break it. A informative presentation can be engaging too so long as they aren't reading. Anyone would rather glance at an infographic than read a slide from a board. But like idk i suck at public speaking anyway so I can't really roast anyone who can speak to a crowd.
Today in class we watched The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore. The film expresses many themes, the overwhelming idea of books changing people’s lives. Another theme is Everyone’s story matters. The idea of Morris writing his story and what he experiences in his life changes how one would watch the film. He is blindsided by this storm that turns his life on edge and wipes the colour from his life. He wanders through the storm, walking on paper from what could be his stories, he rises up and escapes the city destroyed by the storm. He finds a new life from the generosity of another who is enlightened and flying away in colour while Morris is still monotone grey, the giant change when Morris is united with a book, a story for him to write changed his life drastically. Morris is in full colour writing his story and the storm takes everything away from him, struggling to recover his book while he is being taken away from his home. Morris is having things taken away by an unstoppable force that is destroying his home and everything. The storm could be compared to a corrupt government, which changes the people’s freedoms and destroys the country. When the storm recedes Morris is struggling to maintain his morals with the changing landscape, this is represented in the film by Morris losing the words and faces of his books. Morris is shown losing his words from the pages and he is distressed and helpless. He puts his life into these books and his life is taken away with the giant storm When Morris leaves he sees great contrast from his grey and grounded, compared to the coloured and soaring population that is outside the reach of the government. Once Morris escapes the storm he becomes invited to the Library and gains the colour of the girl around him as he escapes. Morris is welcomed as a refugee and since he received such kindness he feels that he should give back. He gives the other people, who are grey and escaping the government a new home and their book, to write their own story.
Teaching styles vary from teacher to teacher but for the most part in highschool teachers use to "educate" students on English. One author many teachers often refer to is Shakespeare because of his historical impact, it is often drilled into students minds as a good example of literature, and don't get me wrong it most certainly is a good piece of english literature, however it isn't the most relevant piece available and the language used is difficult to understand because of constantly changing language that in the text has become outdated. The average student will struggle to understand the meaning of shakespears texts because the meaning and usage of words has changed to a point where you must research most lines for other analysis
From reading scenes 1-2 of Macbeth I can already tell it's going to be boring and painful to read. I don't find it difficult to read Shakespearean English but it is harder to read for meaning and to determine the point of a speech or value of their ramblings, Seeing as other than English class and a few fedora tipping failures the language used in this train-wreck of a story. The forced use of this story in schools is unnecessary and useless to condition highschool students to reading and comprehending this languageToday for Careers class we did a personality test and I scored as a ISFP, meaning Introvert Sensing Feeling Perceived, by my current view I find this rating to be very accurate and wraps up my personality in a way that I've never seen before. A few pages really stood out to me, like the Relationships and Careers pages because I feel that they show exactly who I am. The relationship pages accurately describe how I act and react to people and affections where if I feel loved or cared for I can accomplish amazing feats and I am very expressive, if I trust you with what I'm expressing. I think the test is accurate because it quickly pointed me to my most accurate personality.
V is a positive force for his country who acts out while the rest of the country is cowering in fear. V's decision to fight for change in his country through violence influenced the people to rebel against the government, wearing the Guy Fawkes masks and walking through the military. The people act as one, as one overthrows the chancellor, V destroys the fascist government that had been terrorizing them for far too long. While V does the heavy lifting the people come together to show that they support his actions and watch the destruction of a government building in London. V is truly living like larry #LLL Communication has been revolutionized since the connection of the internet and will never be the same. People can post news and share their views through many free websites and social media apps. Since the internet was invented (about 20 years ago) the world has never communicated the same, a President would have sent out a tv message or radio message where now if they want to rapidly send out a message like a new policy they might announce it through a tweet or a similar way because most of the developed world is connected to the internet at least once a day and they have access to knowledge faster and more reliably.Since creation and widespread use the internet has had memes and jokes which have brought people together online and in a real world situation. People can find groups and opportunities that they wouldn't find in a real world situation.
Hi I go to HHSS in Kitchener i don't want to write this but apparently it's needed to pass this course so I'm going to write on this page and stuff. I don't think I will have a theme for the blog or anything like that but the blog should have pretty regular post schedule cause of the way the course is set up. My class is currently debating if pepsi is considered a Cola or not. I prefer Coke because it is obviously better
